Who we are
Earth Development Foundation (EDF) commenced its new journey in 2022 in Bangladesh. It operates as a non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental organization (NGO), dedicated to enhancing the socio-economic conditions of disadvantaged and underprivileged communities. Over the years, EDF has expanded its activities across two locations, encompassing both rural and urban areas, with the support of local and international development partners.
Our Mission
Advance sustainable, community-driven, needs-based support across food security; rights and governance; health and sanitation; education; environment and disaster management; agriculture and social forestry; nutrition; disability inclusion; gender equality and women’s empowerment; and livelihoods through income generation and self-employment.

To create a democratic, just, impartial, dearth-free, healthy, and environmentally sustainable society, empowering underprivileged individuals to become self-reliant in a supportive environment.

She has also been involved in research and policy-focused initiatives under the LoGIC (Local Government Initiative on Climate Change) project, where she gained hands-on exposure to participatory planning, local adaptation, and gender-responsive approaches to climate governance. Anika’s strengths lie in organizing workshops, conducting surveys, and engaging stakeholders at both community and institutional levels. With strong skills in communication, documentation, and field facilitation, she aspires to build a career in research and development, focusing on climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development in Bangladesh.
