Youth Voluntary Program

Youth Alliance for Public Health and Climate Action

The Youth Alliance for Public Health & Climate Action is a structured voluntary program under the Earth Development Foundation (EDF) designed to engage young, motivated university students in meaningful public health and environmental advocacy. Expanding grassroots impact across Bangladesh, the Alliance currently operates active chapters in Dhaka, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Kushtia. The initiative serves as a vital capacity-building platform where young leaders develop core competencies in community health communication, climate action planning, and civic leadership. To bridge theoretical knowledge with practical impact, the program follows a semester-based schedule featuring regular structured workshops, practical field engagements, and peer collaboration sessions. Participants receive specialized training on public health fundamentals, community advocacy, and climate change delivered by experienced facilitators and academic experts. Furthermore, the Alliance provides valuable one-on-one mentorship from professionals in the health and environmental sectors, guiding students through team-based project delivery and real-world field assignments.

Gender Equality & Empowerment Wing

Ogrojatra Nari Forum

To address gender equality and women’s empowerment independently and on a larger scale, Earth Development Foundation (EDF) established a dedicated wing named Ogrojatra Nari Forum. The Forum actively works to address gender-based violence, discrimination, and other gender-related issues. It also organizes protests against concurrent gender violence issues and various knowledge-sharing sessions, awareness programs, and training initiatives in partnership with NGOs and educational institutions.

The Forum is led by its Convenor, Zakia Sisir, and Secretary General, Mehnaj Mala, along with a committee comprising distinguished gender activists and professionals.
